Laser
- Epilation: How
many sessions?
Hair
and body hairs grow in a cycle that repeats itself constantly. The cycle has
three different stages:
Anagenic (hair growth)
Catagenic (transition)
Telogenic (hair loss) |
The
laser impulse can only destroy hair roots that are in the anagenic phase. In every body region the percentage of hairs
in the anagenic phase is different, but the average is around 60%. The hair
density can be visibly reduced with only one session, but for a complete
elimination of hairs between 2 and 5
sessions (once every 4 or 6 weeks) are necessary.
Since the efficiency of the diode lasers LightSheer® and MedArt® (presentation) is extremely high, only a relatively small amount of sessions is needed.
